In order to confirm its leadership, the company is offering a unique opportunity to a valuable candidate to develop a business in its own country. PROTEM will support this office by providing with all the necessary equipment and the administrative structure required. The candidate shall have a technical and/or a mechanical background (engineer or equivalent through his professional experience). He/she is ideally familiar with either the nuclear industry or the oil and gas industry or is in connection with the industry that has to deal with machining or welding. He/she will be under the direct supervision of the Executive Sales Manager of the company. Besides his native language, the candidate will have to speak and write English fluently. AUTOMATIC CUTTING AND EMPTYING OF METALLIC DRUMS




 

This equipment, consisting in 2 identical and independant lines, is capable of:

  • Cutting metallic drums bottoms and covers (each line operates is appropriate for drums of all dimensions, after a quick and easy set-up). The cut is done 50 mm from the cover of the bottom. The drum diameter distortion does not exceed 3 mm.
  • Sorting operation.
  • Emptying the drums on a waste removal conveyor.
  • Disposing of the destroyed drums (including covers and bottoms) through a hupper towards a crusher
  • Total conveying of the drums from the glove box entry (elevator) to the glove box exit (hupper, crusher and/or waste removal conveyor)
  • Performance : 60 drums/hour.

 

The equipment is made of:

  • Cutting machine and emptying device:
    • Both cutting machines are identical and diametrical.
    • Each cutting machine can cut 118 l, 120 or 200 liters metallic drums after a quick adjustment of the wheel-holder carriage.
  • Structure and conveying system:
    • The structure is made of a steel welded frame fixed onto the glove box.
  • Drum manipulator made of:
    • A manipulator conveying the drum under the cutting machine TF896 as well as the disposal of the central part of the drum.
    • A plate with suction pads which keeps and disposes of the drum bottom and cover.
    • A conveyor in the entry chamber and upstream the manipulator
